  “Re(-)place”

The topic „Space“ has accompanied me during the first semester of my Master of Arts in Choreography at the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz – Dresden/Germany and opened new spaces in my artistic process.  I came up with the idea to reflect this topic in choreography through different lectures, composition exercises and research. All information was allowed to influence me. Some pictures developed more and more dominant and stronger for me during the research. The thought that there is a dynamic relationship between space and movement has marked my concept of space. I developed a special interest from this. My own experience has shown that I had the necessity of rearranging my environment, when my own intern state was just not the neatest and that the concept of physical spaces and psychic spaces as two rooms influence each other dynamically.   I also had the wish to examine the topic even in a linguistic way and I just had those questions:  “Why we replace things?”  “ Is it really necessary to move things?” Is it possible to replace myself and change my inner room?   I thought the concept was quite a good method for working on the topic choreographically.
